BiddersManual

Indian Customs in association with MSTC has created a Central Portal for e-auctions/ tenders for all Custom Houses in India. Through this facility, bidders can access all Customs auctions by registering themselves once. There will be no need to register separately with individual Custom Houses for participating in e-auctions / e-tenders. If you want to participate only for Customs e-auctions / tenders, the one time registration fee is Rs. 5,000/- only + Service Tax ( non-refundable ). MSTC’s existing registered bidders need not register separately for Customs e-auctions and can log on using the existing user’s name and password. New users who wish to participate in other MSTC auctions including Customs auctions will have to pay Rs.10,000/- + Service Tax as one time registration fees ( non-refundable ).

Each Custom House will display the schedules of auctions, list of goods to be e-auctioned, etc. on this web-site. Starting with Mumbai Custom House, e-auction / e-tender through MSTC will be introduced by all Custom Houses in India in the year 2008. Registered bidders will be informed about forthcoming e-auctions / e-tenders by e-mail. Therefore they must ensure that they keep their e-mail account active. All registered bidders are advised to go through the bidder’s guide available on this page.

The web-site has the facility of participating in e-auctions alongwith Auto Bid facility. Besides, bidders can also submit e-tender which can be submitted only once for any one lot. The Notice Period for e-auctions / e-tenders shall be 15 days. Successful bidders will receive e-mail, in case their bids are accepted by the Customs. The successful bidder shall pay the Security Deposit within 3 days of the declaration of the results and the balance payment shall be paid within a further period of 5 days. In respect of Subject to Approval cases, 10% should be paid within 3 days and balance amount within 5 days after confirmation has been given. Bidders shall be debarred from participating in future auctions in case of defaulting on payment of Post Bid Security Deposit and balance money.
